Rya Backings – Rauma (Norway)

The Rauma backings are woven of wool on a heavy linen warp. They come hemmed in the sizes listed in the drop-down menu. They are the hardiest backings available now and may be used on the floor or as wall-hangings.
We generally carry the 40, 60, and 80 cm backings in bolts where you can request the size in the exact length you need.

For graphing your designs, the 40 cm backing has 43 knots across a row, the 60 cm has 65 knots, and the 80 cm has 87 knots across a row.
These backing weave coordinates proportionally with the graph paper provided by Byrdcall Studio enclosed in every Yarn Samples Packet.
