“Memory of a Canada Goose” (Linocut)
While visiting a friend in Colorado, I was in the habit of sketching life around me everyday. My friend had shot a Canada Goose for dinner, but as it laid there in the back of his truck, I felt moved by its beauty, and the sketchbook came out. I drew it as it looked—without life. Years later thinking back to that goose I decided to carve its image in a block of linoleum and adding life to it once again. The magic of ART
